My Grandfather Road by SKL0

Samantha Lo, or SKL0, is back with a new art installation on Circular Road. Originally an A4 -sized stencil meant as a playful narrative introduced in 2012, SKL0 has since explored working on larger stencils measuring up to 2.1m, which has since been installed at multiple locations throughout the Singapore CBD area. For Circular Spectacular, SKL0 will attempt to paint her largest 'My Grandfather Road' that she's ever done, in chalk, no less. Navigating the fluidity of what constitutes street art, the piece will be installed in chalk and will remain for a day during Circular Spectacular, In doing so, the artist attempts to ‘claim' the street back and respond to the notion of temporality, designating the road as our collective 'grandfathers' road and shared space.

Flame Of The Forest

Flame of the Forest (FOTF) is a world fusion music group that has a long history. Inheriting the band from their father, Kenny Tan, Krsna and Govin Tan sought to update the concepts and philosophies bestowed upon them by their predecessors from the 80s. Incorporating styles from other genres, the band synergizes the different ideas and concepts from all other music with their understanding of Indian Classical and Folk music - concocting a refreshing blend of music. In addition to combining genres, the band also modernizes vital concepts of World Fusion Music that are easily ignored by many. FOTF aims to give an enhanced perspective on the musical alchemy that they have developed by inspiring, influencing, educating and communicating with listeners through their music.
